Description
The serrated variant of the quintessential waterman’s mini folder, the versatile 18065S Mini Adira’s serrations bite into line and rope easier than without-a task that’s particularly apparent when a rope’s tension increases when wet. Featuring the same 3.0″ drop-point blade made of CPM-MagnaCut stainless steel as the original, this newly serrated pocket-ready folder uses an Axis lock mechanism with stainless springs for corrosion resistance, plus high-vis colored details and a useful orange lanyard for easy access. On and off the water, the 18065S Mini Adira has got your back, hard-use or EDC.
Blade Style
Drop-Point: Drops off the spine to the tip. Tip height is typically below the center line on the blade
Blade Steel
CPM-Magnacut: A new approach to stainless tool steel that eliminates chromium carbides from the microstructure. The result: a combination of properties with similar toughness and edge retention to non-stainless steels like CPM-CruWear and CPM-4V, with the addition of excellent corrosion resistance and strength
Handle
Grivory: Glass-filled thermoplastic composite known for being extremely light and durable. Widely used for automotive, industrial and aerospace applications
Opening Action
Axis Lock: Manually opened knives must be opened 100% from the closed position to the open position by the user
Meet The Casbah
Designed with purpose and built to last, the Mini Adira sets a high bar for durability and performance matched only by the promise that it will be yours, for life.
How It’s made
Every Benchmade knife begins with high-grade steel, laser-cut for precision and strength. Each blade is meticulously ground, beveled and finished to exacting standards, ensuring exceptional performance and durability. The handles are milled and machined in-house to the tightest tolerances, then hand-assembled and sharpened by expert technicians. With over thirty years of manufacturing excellence behind every edge the knife are proudly crafted in the state-of-the-art facility in Oregon City, Oregon.
Use
Proper care and regular maintenance help make your Benchmade knife yours, for life. Here are some tips for keeping your Benchmade in peak condition.
Prevent Rust: All steels, regardless of grade or price, can eventually rust. To avoid corrosion, always keep your knife clean, dry and lightly lubricated. If rust or spotting appears, a quality semi-chrome metal polish can usually restore the finish
Hand-Wash Only: Always hand-wash your knife with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly
Use as Intended: Benchmade knife are precision cutting tools. Do not use your knife as a pry-bar, screwdriver, chisel or punch-unless specifically designed for those functions
Sharpen with Care: If sharpening at home, avoid grinding wheels and high-speed machinery, as they can damage the blade. Use appropriate hand-sharpening methods for best results
Tighten Hardware: Over time, handle, pivot and pocket clip screws may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx drivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of releasable thread-locker to maintain secure fittings
