WHEN THE HATCH IS ON
We wanted a dry fly rod with more soul but a mid-section that can slice central Montana wind. We used a unique carbon lay up to develop a rod in 3, 4, and 5 weights that is a perfect for dedicated dry fly anglers. We kept the rod light in hand by using an unpainted blank and single foot guides. On the blank we left the oven wraps unsanded for some additional protection. We used single foot guides for a light feel and casting distance. The stripper guide is a reliable Fuji K SIC stripper. We sourced the highest-grade cork possible for this rod and capped the original fly project micro full wells grip with a clear coated mixed cork top ring for durability. The reel seat features gun metal finished aluminum with a lightweight, raw carbon insert.
Why do we call our go-to dry fly rod the Cree? “Cree” hackle feathers are the rarest and highest quality feathers you can find to use in dry fly patterns.
