The gas pump style handle allows you to start and stop fueling as needed. The Duramax operates best in a gravity-fed mode when the Duramax outlet is higher than the equipment being filled. For a continuous flow, pump the handle 6-7 times to start the flow of fuel. If the tank being filled is above the Duramax outlet, the pump handle must be squeezed continuously to keep the fuel moving to the destination tank.
