The combination of the heavy power and extra fast tip action is perfect for heavy Carolina rigs and football head jigs. The extra fast tip allows for you to keep close and immediate control with every movement of your jig or weight on the bottom. You can feather it through rocks perfectly, which you cant otherwise do without a fast and delicate tip. The heavy action and extra length gives you all the backbone you need for launching long casts, and the leverage for setting the hook from a distance. Aside from all that, this is a great rod for flipping and pitching 3/8oz to 1oz Texas rigs and can be used for a frog rod in really heavy vegetation.
