Brian Silvey is a guide on the Deschutes River in Oregon and specializes in Columbia River steelhead. This fly is an excellent summer run steelhead fly for rivers such as the Deschutes, Clearwater, Snake, Salmon and others. We like the classic style, it’s easy to cast on a longer spey line or scandi line, and we like the whispey flow of this fly when swung.
