Our FBK-250 fan kit is assembled & tested in the USA and fits a number of popular Astria, Lennox and Superior gas fireplaces.
The blower is pre-wired for easy installation and features our 100% ball bearing blower assembly. The blower and motor are quiet, powerful and incredibly efficient. The kit includes a full range variable speed controller with on/off position that gives you complete control of the blower’s speed and air flow. The FBK-250 kit also features an automatic thermostat sensor that is magentically attached to the underside of the fireplace. The thermostat works by measuring the surface temperature of your fireplace and will automatically turn your blower on when the fireplace has reached a set temperature. It will turn the blower off after the fireplace has cooled down. The kit also includes a galvanized steel mounting bracket with pre-installed noise reduction padding to prevent vibration and noise, while also ensuring that the blower is securely mounted to your fireplace.
A thermostat switch is required in installations where no designated wall switch for the blower has been added. If your fireplace has a designated wall switch for the blower already installed, you have the option of using the FBK-100, FBK-200 or FBK-250. The FBK-250 must be used in installations where do dedicated switch for the blower is present.
Optional Speed Control Module – An optional OEM speed control module (#H6487) can be added, which replaces the standard variable speed controller and thermostat switch used on our kits with a height adjustable control box. If your owner’s manual specifically itemizes FBK-250 as an available blower kit, then the OEM speed control module can be used. The speed control module not only gives you a convenient location for mounting the variable speed control dial, but it also positions the temperature sensor in the most optimal location for your fireplace. Installation location varies by fireplace model, which can be confirmed via the provided installation instructions, but you’ll see a series of pre-drilled holes on the lower front lip of your fireplace where the module attaches. The location of these holes typically determines where the module should be installed on your fireplace. Manufactured and assembled in the USA!
