Description
Victory Welding Alloys 5356 is a 5% magnesium aluminum welding wire commonly referred to as AlMg5. It is designed for MIG welding of a wide range of aluminum alloys and is one of the most widely used aluminum filler metals due to its versatility, strength, and excellent corrosion resistance, especially in saltwater environments.
This wire is compatible with many common aluminum base metals, including 5050, 5052, 5083, 5356, 5454, and 5456. Weld deposits offer good ductility and higher tensile strength, making it a strong choice for structural and marine applications where durability is critical.
